Fukuyama Masaharu in a taiga drama… I still can’t believe it. I will definitely try to follow Ryomaden just because Sakamoto Ryoma sounds like a cool guy.

  2. Bombay says:

Is it known if “Rain of Reincarnation” (http://www.fujitv.co.jp/fujitv/news/pub_2009/09-274.html) is going to be an Drama Series or Drama Special? On the website is just written Drama, but japanese Fans say that it is going to be only one episode, so it is just an Drama Special?

    I´m sorry, I´m just a little confused. f^_^

    • jadefrost says:

It says nothing on the webpage and the news articles are vaguely saying it’s a drama but this is most definitely going to be a drama special because it is a production that won the Fuji Scenario Writers’ Prize.

  3. luthien says:

Ryoma-den!!! I enjoy watching jidaigeki and Fukuyama is a major plus. I wonder if I should pick up on Atsu-hime again to get some bits of details regarding the era.

Nothing else catches my attention. I’d watch Tokujo Kabachi, but I’ll pass cos of Maki. I watched her in her past dramas, but in Atadan, I noticed how limited her facial expressions are.

    • jadefrost says:

Winter 2010 is probably going to be the worst drama season ever. What a lineup of artistes and drama plots! No cheer during the dreary, cold days unless the networks can pull a surprise with the remaining two or three dramas still left unannounced. But that seems very unlikely.

      • luthien says:

^though i’m not so hard to please… the line-up is kinda a let-down. Bloody Monday is the only one I’m looking forward to other than Ryoma-den.

I really like Ishihara Satomi.. she’s irresistibly cute and pretty… one of my long-time girl crushes. but she’s not that strong of an actress, so to team up with JE boys i’m not familiar with… I don’t know what to expect.. rather I feel like I shouldn’t hope for much.

Off-topic. does jdrama cast ever have fanatic following the way imported kdramas have when they are promoted in Japan?

  4. someone says:

The only one i’m interested in is Bloody Monday 2 & Yamato Nadeshiko shichi henge. Cuz the anime is awesome :3

i was so excited for Yamata Nade but disappointed to know it will be Kamenashi to play Kyohei.. hes suppose to be good at fighting but kamenashi is so scrawny how is he going to be believable.

Maki and SHo’s looks kinda boring and tedious same with Nana Eiku

FukuMasaharu ohhh taiga!!! that should be cool.

The rest are all Season 2 continuation will end up watching some and passing majority of them. What happened to the rumoured NagaseX Okada drama tsk tsk.. i was excited for that.

  7. Thank you for the post. I’m really looking forward to Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge as Kamen-sama will be in it ^^
