Story
Sara Masaki was a detective in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigation Division until a junior detective Saito Kota lost his life while they were investigating a murder case. Sara was transferred to the First Personnel Division’s Inspection Unit which cracks down on wrongdoing by police personnel. It is a lonely role as he is regarded with hostility by colleagues who consider him a traitor and his past wounds remain raw. Meanwhile, the First Personnel Division receives a tip-off about Minaguchi Nanako, a staff at a driving licence centre. She is suspected of illegally divulging confidential data. Sara feels conflicted about having to investigate Nanako who was his former colleague when he belonged to the First Investigation Division. But he is ordered by his boss Noma Keiichiro to monitor her. Together with Suga Toru, the division’s head, he begins tail Nanako to review her actions, he makes the connection to an unsolved murder case and the truth regarding Saito’s untimely death begins to emerge. Who is the traitor and what shocking truth will Sara arrive at?

Matsuoka Masahiro as Sara Masaki
A senior detective with the First Personnel Division’s Inspection Unit. He was transferred from the First Investigation Division to this unit after a junior detective Saito Kota was killed in the line of duty while investigating a murder case. He is ostracised by colleagues and cuts a lonely figure as he carries out his duties.
Izumi Rika as Minaguchi Nanako
A staff at a driving licence centre. She is suspected of leaking sensitive information and becomes the subject of the First Personnel Division’s after a tip-off. Sara Masaki’s ex-colleague and the former fiancee of the late Saito Kota.
Nakamura Toru as Noma Keiichiro
The Inspector of the First Personnel Division. An elite officer who hails from the Public Security Bureau. He is feared within the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department as Poker Faced Noma because his expression never changes and he is merciless in exposing the wrongdoings of colleagues. He orders Sara Masaki to keep tabs on Minaguchi Nanako.
Ikeda Tetsuhiro as Suga Toru
The head of the First Personnel Division’s Inspection Unit. He also came from the Public Security Bureau and is an elusive person. Noma Keiichiro’s right-hand man who has the nickname Long-sleeved Suga. He and Sara Masaki are teamed up to monitor Minaguchi Nanako.
Miura Masaki as Uda Kunihiro
A senior detective with Takaido Minami Police Precinct’s Criminal Affairs Division. Sara Masaki’s senior when he was a detective. Called the warrior, he has a strong sense of loyalty and a warm heart. The murder case at Mejiro Station that he investigated with Sara remains unsolved.
Totsuka Shota as Saito Kota
A former detective with the First Investigation Division. A direct junior of Sara Masaki during the time he was a detective. They investigated cases together. He was killed in front of Sara but the truth of his death remains a mystery. He often appears as an illusion and a past that Sara wants to erase.
Mashima Hidekazu as Kitazawa Katsutoshi
A member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Forensics Division. He joined the police force at the same time as Sara Masaki and is like a rival. He has a strong sense of justice and loathes and takes out his anger on Sara who not only caused Saito Kota’s death but moved to the First Personnel Division which investigates colleagues.
Tsurumi Shingo as Tsutsumi Tadao
The police chief of Kichijoji Police Precinct. Minaguchi Nanako’s former boss. He has been concerned about her since Saito Kota’s death. He had also been of the Inspector of the First Personnel Division just like Noma Keiichiro.
