Synopsis: Irodori Madoka (Kuroki Hitomi), a successful film actress, makes her comeback to the big screen in the movie Rokumeikan no Hana, which is being directed by her husband Kaido Akira (Furuya Ikko), after a 13-year absence. Filming begins amid great media attention. During a party held at the mansion that Madoka had purchased to stay for the period of the filming, the previous owner Kannokoji Rin (Hiraiwa Kami) dies. A sedative containing powerful medicine had been mixed into the daiquiri she had drunk. Inspector Shokokuji Ryuya (Sawamura Ikki) from the Special Investigations Unit of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division regards this as premeditated murder from the meticulous way she was killed. After carrying out questioning, it is determined that the daiquiri was not Rin’s but Madoka’s. Just when he wonders whether Madoka was the actual target, he learns that her husband made the drink. Shokokuji gathers every photograph taken by the guests at the party and begins to verify the situation on-site by checking the evidence. One of them catches his attention. It shows Madoka looking surprised at something when she looked at the staircase landing. What did she see that surprised her? Shokokuji visits Madoka in an attempt to ask her. He learns that she had received three threatening letters these last few days. She pleads with him not to tell her husband about them. As Kaido gets increasingly strange, Madoka receives a queer phone call, “I saw you put the drug in your own glass”. She is even about to drink coffee with arsenic mixed in but does not in the nick of time. But right after that, Kaido’s secretary (Nishio Mari) is killed by arsenic which had been laced on the inhaler she used for her allergy. After that, Shokokuji’s investigation turns up a past fight between Madoka and rival actress Asakaze Sagiri (Zaizen Naomi) over a man. As a series of shocking facts come to light, a third victim emerges … …
