Synopsis: A man named Domeki Jiro (Kotobuki Tsukawa) who calls himself a publication producer is found stabbed to death. Rookie detective Takachiho Asuka (Shinkawa Yua), who has come along for the investigation with Inspector Aso (Fukikoshi Mitsuru) and Inukai Hayato (Tokushige Satoshi) from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigation Division, is motivated to be at her first crime scene. When they get information at the publishing company that was the victim’s former workplace, it is revealed that a threatening letter had been sent to Domeki regarding the judging for the Newcomer of the Year award. The words “I’ll kill you” were written in the letter. Inukai thus sends Asuka to a man who is very strong in the publishing industry. He is the successful writer Busujima Shinri (Sasaki Kuranosuke). In fact, he used to be an outstanding detective with the First Investigation Division. Although Asuka is bewildered by his caustic tongue and fixations, they proceed with the investigation into the case. How will Busujima unravel the truth?
