Story
Takamizawa Hiroshi cannot forget his girlfriend who disappeared all of a sudden and has been searching for her. At this time, a wealthy elderly man who lives alone in Akabane, Tokyo, is found strangled to death. Detectives Imuro Shinji and Nishimura Atsuko of Akabane Police Precinct and Torikai Tatsuya from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division team up for the investigation. Yamamoto Miki, a woman who runs her own housekeeping agency and occasionally goes in and out of the victim’s residence, emerges in the line of investigation based on eyewitness statements from the neighbours. But the detectives they rush to her house, they miss her by seconds because she has been taken into custody by the Saitama Prefectural Police. Hiroshi happens to be there at the scene but the girlfriend he has finally found is taken to the police. Meanwhile, Imuro and the others discover that there have been several other suspicious deaths at Miki’s place of work. The mass media goes into overdrive over the serial killings. Together with the lawyer Yatabe Tamotsu, Hiroshi scramble about in a quest for the truth. Everyone has their own ideas about Miki’s character. When she is about to be exposed in court, she suddenly clams up on the witness stand and the case starts to go off course … … Who exactly is she and what is the truth?

Nagasaku Hiromi as Yamamoto Miki
She runs a housekeeping agency. A series of suspicious deaths occur around her and she is suspected. It is not clear what she is thinking.

Sugimoto Tetta as Imuro Shinji
A detective of Akabane Police Precinct’s Criminal Affairs Division. He is investigating the suspicious death of a wealthy elderly man in Akabane. He harbours reservations about the one-sided investigation.

Ichihara Hayato as Takamizawa Hiroshi
A contract employee at a pipe factory. He is a straightforward, awkward man who has been searching for his girlfriend who went missing.

Kitamura Soichiro as Baba Kotaro
A wealthy old man who is found strangled to death in Akabane, Tokyo. He had asked Yamamoto Miki to provide housekeeping services.

Tanaka Tetsushi as Yatabe Tamotsu
A lawyer who cannot get ahead in this world. He wants to make a name for himself and has been searching for an interesting case.

Komoto Masahiro as Takai Yosuke
A TV station’s programme director. He is in charge of an information programme and is constantly searching for material that will get the ratings.

Onoue Hiroyuki as Baba Masaki
Baba Kotaro’s son. His parents divorced and he was placed in the custody of his mother. He worries about his father who lives alone.

Nahana as Maruyama Kaori
She runs Maruyama Reality. She is in charge of Baba Kotaro’s properties and manages his assets.
