Synopsis: Akiba Kyosuke (Nakamura Toru) is a private detective who once belonged to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division. One day, Akiba saves a beautiful young woman who is being chased by someone. He tells her to call him anytime she has trouble and hands her his name card which reads ‘Private detective Akiba Kyosuke’. Sometime later, he receives a phone call from this young woman. Her name is Oshima Keiko (Murai Miki). She is the daughter of Oshima Keizaburo (Tamura Ryo), the head of Oshima Group which is the largest nursing care business in East Japan, and is herself a managing director of the group. Keiko and her older brother Toshio (Hakamada Yoshihiko) explain to Akiba that they want him to search for the culprit who recently sent a threatening note addressed to their father “If you don’t step down, you’ll be killed”. When Akiba begins an investigation, he will always turn to the office of tax accountant, Shibano Akiko (Yamamura Momiji). Listening to Akiba’s request, Akiko immediately checks up the Oshima Group and tells him that Toshio is the Oshimas adopted son, their biological daughter Keiko is a leading candidate to be the next company president, and senior managing director Moriyama Eiji (Kamio Yu) who has made contributions to improve the company’s business performance for the past few years, is a rival candidate. Then one day, Takaoka Kenta, the director of Oshima Group’s Nursing Care Department is found murdered. Akiba’s former colleague Assistant Inspector Tajima Yasuhiko (Terajima Susumu) conducts the investigation at the crime scene. Akiba asks Keiko if the dead Takaoka was the one who was following her when they first met, but Keiko denies knowing anything. “If you hide anything from me, I will become your most dangerous enemy from this instant,” Akiba warns her, but … …
