Synopsis: “If you participate in the weekend farming experience over there, you’ll find your partner in marriage in mysterious ways.” As a result of this rumour, Oba Farm has become a power spot for searching for marriage partners. Its owner Oba Sousuke (Mukai Osamu) is an oddball; a science guy who is deeply attached to the vegetables he produces and his beloved cow Ushiko. He declares, “People are all classified into N and S. Like a magnet, those that are alike will repel while those that are opposite will hit it off.” Because he has been pairing participants who have good chemistry and successive married couples have come about, Sousuke is called the “magnet man” and revered as the god of marriage hunting. He instantly sees through people with his keen powers of observation, and has a sharp tongue which hits close to home even for a person he is meeting for the first time. On the other hand, Kohinata Shion (Aibu Saki), a marriage adviser who works for a major Tokyo dating agency, is attractive and smart. However, she is still not married and has no boyfriend at the age of 30. She unquestioningly believes “marriage = conditions” and has been working hard at self-improvement in order to snare a good man. One day, Shion is headhunted by Himuro Kotaro (Kaname Jun), the university senior she is attracted to. Himuro is actually an entrepreneur who started a business at a young age and is now the CEO of an event company with annual sales that has grown to 2 billion yen. He says he needs her for the newly launched matchmaking service. With his high income, handsome looks and good nature, Himuro is Shion’s ideal marriage partner. Thinking that her ideal marriage will not be a dream if she measures up to his expectations by cutting a deal with the “magnet man”, Shion heads to Oba Farm in high spirits. But what awaits her is Sousuke’s barbed tongue. Without mincing his words, he tells her, “From your appearance, you’re a vain person and lavish with your money. You seek more than the money you have invested from your marriage partner and you’re embarrassed to be single.” Shion is furious that he is accurate about her true personality right. However, she broaches the contract to Sousuke for Himuro’s sake. And Sousuke starts to tell her his condition is that she has to live in and work at the farm. In fact, Ushiko has become emotionally attached to Shion. In order to get the contract, Shion ends up living with Sousuke and working at Oba Farm. She has to wake up at 5.00 am every morning to milk Ushiko, do muddy farm work and deal with Sousuke’s unpredictable behaviour … …
