Synopsis: Inukai Hajime (Matsumura Hokuto), a fourth year medical school student, is assigned to the forensics lab to study under Associate Professor Kiriyama Yuki (Nakama Yukie). He has no interest in being at the lab as his wish was to go to the neurosurgery department. Yuki converses with dead bodies that have died of unknown causes. She possesses the ability to visualise them when they died from the information obtained through autopsies. Called the queen because of her self-centred behaviour, Yuki works Hajime hard and is on bad terms with Professor Niwa Akihito (Ishizaka Koji). The body of Komoto Seiji, who died in a sudden crash while driving, is transported to the lab. It is thought to be a traffic accident but Yuki finds a small bite mark after conducting an autopsy. Detective Murakami Mamoru (Tanabe Seiichi) from the prefectural police says there were syringes for paediatric diabetes inside the car and items thought to belong to a six or seven-year-old. Komoto is suspected of kidnapping a boy. While Yuki takes on this case, the dead bodies of a university professor Kawagoe Katsuhisa (Yue Takeyuki), who is rumoured to be having an affair, and his secretary Aida Mari are found in a car stopped by the riverside. Their deaths are treated as lovers’ suicide because they died of carbon monoxide poisoning. However, Takane Kasumi (Niimi Serina) detects signs of foul play from Mari’s body. The police do not agree that it is a criminal case and refuse an autopsy … …
