Synopsis: Two murders occur in Hyogo and Osaka with the victims shot dead in the temple at close range. A person with the initial A at a place with the initial letter A, another person with the initial B at a place with the initial letter B. The fact that these murders imitate Agatha Christie’s famous mystery, The ABC Murders, rocks society. Furthermore, a written challenge is addressed to the police and Himura Hideo (Saito Takumi) from the murderer who refers to himself as the ABC Killer. Himura and Arisugawa Arisu (Kubota Masataka) immediately begin to assist the police investigation. Himura’s landlady Shinomiya Tokie (Natsuki Mari) seems glad that a spark has returned to Himura’s eyes since he has had a tendency to stay at home recently. A newspaper journalist Inaba Joichiro (Sato Ryuta) shows up in front of Himura and Arisugawa all of a sudden, and provokes Himura. Then he tells them the connection between the two victims – the Shangri-La Crusaders, which has a link with Himura. It is a radical terrorist group led by Morohoshi Sanae (Hasegawa Kyoko) whose whereabouts are unknown. Meanwhile, case C takes place in Kyoto. Victim C’s ex-wife Hanai Yuiko (Takahashi Maryjun), who is a percussionist, persistently approaches Arisugawa for some reason. People of many mysteries keep turning up. Himura’s student Kijima Akemi (Yamamoto Mizuki) and her friends (Matsunaga Nagisa, Yamamoto Ai) are unable to hide their shock too. Wanting to be of help to Himura, Akemi pursues the case and ends up in a volatile situation with Inaba. The Hyogo, Osaka and Kyoto Prefectural Police (Hasegawa Hatsunori, Hamada Mari, Maeda Goki, Makita Sports), launch an all-out investigation, but show completely no progress. Then, case D happens.
