Synopsis: Yanagawa Toshiko (Fuji Sumiko), a multimillionaire who lives in Aichi Prefecture, is abducted one day. Her kidnappers are a trio led by a young man called Tonami Kenichi (Okada Masaki), a former gangster who has just been released from jail. The Aichi Prefectural Police begin investigating the case which has their reputation on the line. Veteran detective Ikari Daigoro (Watabe Atsuro) is tasked to head the investigation. The kidnappers demand 10 billion yen as ransom and in addition, call a press conference on the ransom money. At the press conference, Ikari adopts a tough attitude and calls the demand for 10 billion yen outrageous. The unprecedented amount fluster Toshiko’s relatives and her abduction becomes widely known to the public as a result of the press conference. This audacious kidnapping by vicious criminals captures the attention of everyone across Japan. The kidnappers continue to make demands, ordering the disposal of all of Toshiko’s assets and preparation of the 10 billion yen in cash. The handover of the money is to be televised live on television. This kidnapping that Tonami plotted to turn his life around was supposed to have been the perfect plan. However, they are manipulated by sharp Toshiko and the case takes an unexpected turn … …
