Synopsis: One stormy day, a cool-looking man visits an isolated pension deep in the mountains. He is Hagiwara Reiichi (Kaneko Nobuaki), a vain but timid private detective who always undertakes small jobs such as investigating infidelity and has no hope of getting ahead in life. Really dodgy guests stay at this very strange pension. There is a beautiful woman Mamiya Sara (Satsukawa Aimi) who is Hagiwara’s type and he falls in love with her at first sight. Then Hagiwara thinks, “If a murder occurs in such circumstances, I can preside over this occasion and solve the case splendidly.” He wills a murder to happen. Believe it or not, a murder occurs just as he had wished! However, the victim is Hagiwara himself … … The killer stabbed him from the back and fled. So he regrettably did not get a look at the person’s face. To Hagiwara’s bitter chagrin, he breathes his last. But this regret causes a miracle to happen. His consciousness does not become a spirit and disappear but remains in this world. Now a ghost detective, Hagiwara rises up to solve his own murder … …
