TV Tokyo

Five supporting actors Endo Kenichi, Osugi Ren, Taguchi Tomorow, Matsushige Yutaka, Mitsuishi Ken end up co-starring in TV Tokyo’s morning drama Shimakko-san. Relying on a map from Osugi’s manager Jasmine, the men head for the southern island which is the filming location in Osugi’s small boat. However, there are no signs of people on the island they arrive at and they are suddenly forced into a life of survival in what appears to be an abandoned building. Their disappearance plunges the industry into turmoil due to a severe lack of supporting actors. Meanwhile, the first day of filming of Shimakko-san arrives. They begin life on the inhabited island at the same time that filming starts for the morning drama. What will happen to them and the drama?

Endo Kenichi as Endo Kenichi
Aged 56, he is manly and has distinguished himself in roles as the villain with his sharp gaze and fierce look. But he is delicate and sensitive, and prone to worrying.

Osugi Ren as Osugi Ren
At 66, he is the oldest among the five. He has played a wide range of roles and is a leading supporting actor called the man with 300 faces. He is well-loved by the others as the leader but is rather wanting. He overreacts and when he is blamed, he feels down.

Taguchi Tomorow as Taguchi Tomorow
Besides performing as an actor, he is also a narrator and a movie director. Aged 60, he is beyond the comprehension of other people and often behaves bizarrely and aggressively. In fact, no one can understand his personality. In a nutshell, he is eccentric. He is like an extraterrestrial being.

Matsushige Yutaka as Matsushige Yutaka
At 55, he is the youngest but is actually the leader in behind the scenes. He is tall and has a rustic air. He is an intellectual, attentive and dependable man. He is good in all housework. He starts grilling gyoza when stress builds up.

Mitsuishi Ken as Mitsuishi Ken
He debuted in his first lead role at the age of 16. Aged 56 now, he has an affable personality and is loved by everyone. His charm is the understatedness and kindness gained through hardships. He is a rare person who can get friendly with anyone whether they are young or old, male or female. When a quarrel breaks out, he will definitely intervene. Lately, he has been hooked on Instagram.
