Hyakkaou Private Academy has a history of 122 years. Many sons and daughters of influential figures in the political and business circles attend this prestigious school. The hierarchy of its students are determined only by their strength in gambling. The winners are given status and prestige while the losers are robbed of both wealth and dignity, and treated like domestic animals. One day, a beautiful girl Jabami Yumeko transfers to the academy. Casting a sidelong glance at the excited male students, the greatest gambler of the class Saotome Meari challenges Yumeko to a game. Suzui Ryota, a classmate who is responsible for showing Yumeko around the school, lost a game to Meari before this and warns Yumeko against it. However, Yumeko happily accepts. Meari’s invented game of Tohyou Janken gets underway with each chip going at a rate of 10,000 yen. It is an insane game where several million yen can change hands in one round. As Ryota had feared, the game progresses with Meari in the lead. Everyone expects Yumeko’s doom but she has a hidden side. While Yumeko appears to be graceful and ladylike, she is actually a gambling addict who gets a thrill out of taking risks. Once she starts gambling, she destroys her opponents with extraordinary perceptiveness and memory.
