Shiina Shusuke runs a small repair studio for home furniture as he searches for new owners for the cats that his late wife Yoko left behind. Shusuke has not tried to get over Yoko’s death. Out of concern for him, his childhood friend Fujimura Misaki, who is the director of a veterinary hospital nearby, comes to check on him even during consultation hours. One day, a young lady called Tachibana Hiromi comes to visit. She is looking for a cat that looks just like the pet cat that her grandmother had loved. To assess whether Hiromi’s house is suitable for rearing a cat, Shusuke hands her a blanket together with a cat for a three day, two night trial. Hiromi is relieved that her grandmother is happy to be reunited with the cat. However, this time, she brings up her desire to meet Hiromi’s fiance … …

Nishijima Hidetoshi as Shiina Shusuke
He runs a furniture repair shop. His wife died in a traffic accident and he is searching for new owners for the cats that she left behind.

Kichise Michiko as Fujimura Misaki
A vet who runs Fujimura Veterinary Hospital. She is Shiina Shusuke’s childhood friend, and constantly worries about Shusuke whose wife has passed away.

Shimazaki Haruka as Mizushima Kaede
A nurse who works at Fujimura Veterinary Hospital. She occasionally asked by Shiina Shusuke to tend his shop.

Karata Erika as Saeki Sakura
The poster girl of the eatery Sakura Shokudo which her mother Naoko runs.

Sakai Miki as Shiina Yoko
Shiina Shusuke’s late wife. She developed a love of cats and reared seven of them, but passed away in a traffic accident two years ago.

Miho Jun as Saeki Naoko
The proprietress of Sakura Shokudo. She worries about Shiina Shusuke whom she has known since he was a child and introduces him to prospective marriage partners.
