Mozu’s creative team must think they are oh-so-cool. First they plunder the look of the Infernal Affairs franchise (which already owes a debt to French cinema), and now, from what I can tell, they are attempting a Frankenstein-like hybrid with tantei dorama (think Shiritsu Tantei Hama Mike, Tantei Monogatari). In other words, taking an aesthetic I love and turning it into a dog’s breakfast.
