Story
Kojima Asako, a writer of a popular manga series for teenage girls, lives in Kichijoji. Amidst busy days with a looming deadline, Ca Va, the beloved cat she has lived with for years suddenly dies. Asako is so shocked that she is no longer able to draw manga after that and also loses her appetite. At the suggestion of her worried editor Omori, she moves to a new house but her life does not return to what it used to be. One day, when Asako is walking in Inokashira Park, she comes across a homeless man with a sick kitten. She starts wanting to cure the kitten of its illness during the numerous times she sees the man, and brings it to the hospital without his permission … …

Characters
Miyazawa Rie as Kojima Asako
A popular manga writer who lives in Kichijoji. She has been depressed by the death of her beloved cat, Saba, but starts a new chapter of life due to a chance encounter with the kitten, Gugu.

Nagatsuka Keishi as Omori
Kojima Asako’s long-time editor. Although he is always at the mercy of Asako’s pace, he worries about her more than everyone.

Kuroki Haru as Minami
Kojima Asako’s assistant. She is like a leader among the assistants. She respects Asako and supports her while aspiring to make her own debut as a manga writer too.

Ichikawa Miwako as Ishikawa Rina
Kojima Asako’s junior high school classmate. They drifted apart because of some incident that occurred at the time, but one day, she sends a letter to Asako and their exchanges deepen.

Kikuchi Rinko as Chikako
Kojima Asako made her acquaintance at a cafe when she was an elementary school student. She was quick to recognise Asako’s talent for drawing.

Tanaka Min as Homeless man
He was born and grew up in Kichijoji and now lives at Inokashi Park. He is the person who brings Kojima Asako and the sick kitten, Gugu, together.
