Synopsis: Kinoshita Kenta (Miura Ryosuke) is hospitalised at Kanto Medical University Hospital where Kuraishi Shoko (Katahira Nagisa) works. He is a nephew of Kinoshita Sayuri (Takahashi Hitomi), who is an assistant professor at the same hospital, and a cheerful young man who admires Shoko. Kenta’s medical condition is known as rhabdomyosarcoma. The cancer has invaded the muscles, and in his case, the onset of cancer is the result of a misdiagnosis by the dermatologist who initially attended to him. Nothing can be done because the cancer has metastasised. Male nurse Kamata Shun (Koike Teppei) has particular feelings and ends up resigning from the hospital. Shoko’s suggestion for his farewell party is to have it at the hospital’s cafeteria. At the cafeteria, she encounters Odagiri Sumie (Otsuka Yoshie), the professor of the cell biology research department who is popular with male students, and gets her to yield a small bowl for side dishes. Shun is consulted by assistant professor Akai Kazuyoshi (Otomo Kohei) on how his relationship with Shoko should progress and is discomfited. One and a half years ago, Akai had rushed to give Shoko a ring when a case with her was solved, but he not only ended up being unable to propose but also unable to date her … … One day, Yamauchi Harumi (Saori), a patient, suddenly dies. Like Kenta, she is also a patient with rhabdomyosarcoma due to thesame dermatologist’s misdiagnosis. Shoko has misgivings about her death which was so sudden. The next day, the dermatologist Sugiyama Akira (Nakamura Sejiro) who made the wrong diagnosis dies of a heart attack. At his funeral, Shoko witnesses Harumi’s father (Kono Yoichiro) arguing with Sugiyama’s father (Nadaka Tatsuo). Shoko recalls that Sugiyama’s father met Sayuri in the hospital a few days earlier.
