Mansion o Katta Onna
Story: 41-year-old divorcee Ando Mutsumi (Nakayama Miho) is a section manager at a trading firm, earns more than 10 million yen a year and lives alone. She has not been in love for more than 10 years. She is busy everyday but she likes this life. Her only worry is her old age. The proprietress (Matsushige Yutaka) of Mutsumi’s regular bar advises her to remarry if she finds a good man but this falls on deaf ears for Mutsumi declares that she has had enough of men. Meanwhile, Takako (Kirishima Reika), Mutsumi’s good friend from university days and fellow single, proposes that they jointly purchase and apartment and live together. The two of them quickly buy an apartment. Getting their final abode eases their anxiety about old age and they start living together. Takako broaches some topic to Mutsumi which ends up wrecking Mutsumi’s plans for her future … …

Story: 40-year-old Horiuchi Kanako (Okubo Kayoko) has been sidelined by her boss in the role of a bank teller. It is her 17th year at the bank. She knows that she has no special talent. Therefore she works hard and diligently. She is single and also has no boyfriend. One day, Kanako gets a phone call from her mother Yoshie (Asaji Yoko) to ask if she will be coming back to attend her class reunion. Kanako decides to go for the reunion to divert herself. Her former classmates who live in her hometown are all worn out from domestic life. Meanwhile, Kanako draws attention because she has styled herself as a Tokyo career woman, and decides to keep in touch with her classmates through Facebook and let them see her stylish Tokyo life. At her favourite bar, she makes a post on Facebook which quickly draws envious comments and an increasing number of ‘likes’. This unexpectedly improves her mood. Desiring more ‘likes’ from that point on, Kanako overstretches herself with luxury brands, posh restaurants and upscale beauty salons, and keeps posting on Facebook. Wedding Dress o Katta Onna
Story: 35-year-old fashion magazine editor Kano Harumi (Koike Eiko) works at a major publisher. A good-looking woman with the disposition of a big sister, she is responsible in her work with her boss Kuwabara Norika (Otozuki Kei), photographer Masuda Masumi (KEIJI) and others. However, she is actually a contract employee and is anxious about her future. It has also been five years since she was dumped by her boyfriend. She feels in a limbo in both her work and private lives. One day, a wedding dress photoshoot is held. Harumi quickly finishes drinks with her colleagues and rushes into to a wedding shop. “Please let me try this on! I saw this dress at the photoshoot and I wanted to wear it. I’ll buy it! And now it won’t be able to get away.” Harumi buys the wedding dress even though she has no plan to wear it and informs the proprietress (Matsushige Yutaka) of the bar she frequents about this. She admits that she will feel embarrassed if her colleagues come to learn of it because she does not want to show this girlish side.
