Synopsis: Takuma Yoshito (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) is released from Shiga Chuo Prison. 10 years ago, he was arrested and prosecuted for attempted murder. He received a 15-year prison sentence, but the comatose victim suddenly woke up and gave a statement that Takuma was not the attacker, proving that he was wrongfully convicted. He got out of prison with his name cleared. Takakura Kiichiro (Osugi Ren), the assistant commissioner of the Kyoto Prefectural Police appears before Takuma. He reinstates Takuma, who had been with the Kyoto Prefectural Police’s Public Relations Department at the time of the incident, to the police force, in the Special Investigation Unit he has created. It is an office which requires little work despite its grand name. In truth, Takuma is a specialist who understands criminal psychology. All information regarding the criminals serving time including modus operandi, techniques used, reasons for turning to crime as well as psychological tendencies are imprinted in his memory. He is, so to speak, a person savvy in crime. Takuma is partnered with Anegakoji Chinami (Minami Kaho), a middle-aged female detective formerly of the First Investigative Division. Chinami is the hot-blooded type who stands by victims and hates criminals, the total opposite of Takuma. She came to the Special Investigation Unit under the impression that she would be able to have more freedom in criminal investigations but is shocked by the reality. Furthermore, she is constantly irritated by Takuma’s peculiarities. The other members of the team are Matsubara Yuiko (Ashina Sei) of the Second Investigative Division, Horikawa Kohei (Hiraoka Yuta) of the Security Division and Inokuma Sachio (Satoi Kenta) of the Crime Lab. At that moment, Chinami brings four unsolved murder cases at the First Investigative Division to the Special Investigation Unit. I really want to watch this drama online because the plot seems interesting but it is really difficult to do so. Sites such as dramacool have this but it is not subbed. Sad life of those who appreciate non romance genre + jdrama…
