Story
Shirase Mari’s temporary return to Japan for a concert stirs Endo Natsumi’s memories of the past. 16 years ago, the two of them had been violinists in the Tokyo National Symphony Orchestra and competed to be the soloist. They were good friends who pursued their dreams together, and yet have not met since that day. Natsumi gave up the violin because of her pregnancy and retired from the orchestra with her husband Kazuto who was a cellist in the same orchestra. As a result, Mari won the position of soloist. 17 years later, Natsumi lives with Kazuto and their daughter Reina. Although she is happy now, she is shaken by memories of the day she lost her friend. The two of them meet again by coincidence and return to being good friends. However, they are envious of each other’s circumstances. Mari’s feelings for Natsumi’s husband are rekindled while Natsumi is envious of Mari’s success and glory as the Chicago Orchestra’s concert master. Furthermore, Kazuto also starts to long for the world of music which he has distanced himself from … …
