Synopsis: At Ishizuka General Hospital, a patient’s condition suddenly deteriorates after surgery. Doctors Shiraishi Yuki (Otsuka Nene) and Ota Risako (Yamaguchi Sayaka) desperately give a cardiac massage, but it is to no avail and the patient dies. This is the second consecutive post-surgery death. The hospital director Ishizuka (Takahashi Hideki) agonises over it. Several days later, soccer player Nakagawa Kosuke, who is expected to make his appearance in the next World Cup, is scheduled for surgery for a brain tumour. Ishizuka covers up the post-surgery deaths and asks the doctor of another hospital to perform Nakagawa’s surgery. The doctor is Hiyama Fuyumi (Nakama Yukie). Fuyumi had previously been involved in a conspiracy at a university hospital. In the end, her older sister Kaho (Nishida Naomi) was the one who committed the murder(s) and she carried on her life by moving around to mid-sized hospitals in local towns. To Fuyumi, Ishizuka General Hospital is where her former teacher used to be. But this doctor is no longer around. The person who had introduced Nakagawa to the hospital is the medical coordinator, Mihara Chikage (Kimura Fumino). However, Chikage is shocked to receive a fax tipping her office off on the consecutive deaths at Ishizuka General Hospital and the operating surgeon Shiraishi Yuki. At that moment, Ishizuka’s son-in-law, Seiichi (Nakamura Aoi) who is also a doctor, welcomes Fuyumi and shows her around the hospital. They head for the medical department at the time that Chikage approaches Yuki to press her for the truth about the post-surgery deaths. Seiichi tells her that it will be Fuyumi and not Yuki who will perform Nakagawa’s surgery. Yuki and Risako are discontented … … One night, while Fuyumi is walking along the streets, a shadow follows her. The instant she detects a presence behind her, and tries to turn around, Fuyumi is pushed down the stairs. Because of that, she injures her hand. Although she asserts that she can do Nakagawa’s surgery, Ishizuka only wants a perfect surgery. He lets Yuki be the operating surgeon and instructs Fuyumi to be the assistant. On the day of the surgery, Chikage is disturbed to hear of the sudden change in operating surgeon. Yuki proceeds with Nakagawa’s surgery without delay. However, several hours into the surgery, she acts strangely. Her hand shakes. She lets out a groan, loses conscious and collapses in the operating theatre. Yuki is brought to the examination room while Fuyumi presses ahead with Nakagawa’s surgery despite her injured wrist. The surgery ends without incident but … …
