Synopsis: Morohashi Masashi (Inagaki Goro) has the unusual label of former doctor and public prosecutor. One day, Morohashi is brought to Seiryo Medical University Hospital after a drinking binge. As he is getting treatment, he sees a female patient being rushed to the emergency centre. She suddenly throws up a large amount of blood. This perplexes rookie doctor Iketani Kazuki (Yamada Shintaro), who is examining his first patient. Morohashi gives precise instructions from Iketani’s side, and in the end operates with him. Morohashi’s good judgment and extraordinary surgical skills saves the female patient who is on the brink of death. Iketani’s supervising doctor, Okita Ryoko (Kimura Yoshino), tells Morohashi that she does not want him to do as he pleases, but Okamoto Keiichi (Suzuki Kosuke) cuts in and invites Morohashi to work at Seiryo Medical University Hospital. He immediately agrees. From his first day, Morohashi sees the whirl of human relationships within the hospital. Ahead of the election to decide the next professor, Ryoko, the leading candidate, as well as Takehara Seiichi (Hakamada Yoshihiko) and Onishi Masazumi (Kamio Yu) are desperate to win. Furthermore, Ryoko is favoured by Professor Ichinose Haruhiko (Owada Baku) of the Cardiac Surgery Department. Morohashi hears from the nurses that popular idol Nagamine Aoi, who was admitted to the hospital a month ago, had a sudden change in condition while under treatment and died. Speculation of medical malpractice is rife. Okita was the doctor in charge. Moreover, four of her patients were also put at risk during surgeries in the last six months. In fact, Morohashi has infiltrated Medical University Hospital in order to investigate and determine the facts regarding the medical malpractice. He and Morishita Tsubaki (Fukiishi Kazue) are members of a special team established under public prosecutor Nara Tokukazu (Matsukata Hiroki) to clarify what actually happened. Morohashi had intended to charm his way into an interview with the doctor on duty, but thanks to the emergency patient, he has secured a position as a doctor. On the other hand, Tsubaki has infiltrated the hospital as a nurse. Morohashi tails Nishina Kyoko (Yasuda Misako), who has recently been removed from her position as operating-theatre nurse, and makes a shocking discovery. Kyoko and the married Takehara are having an affair. Morohashi suspects that he is making use of Kyoko to sabotage Ryoko’s surgeries … …
