Synopsis: Furuta Shuji (Ichimura Masachika), a department manager at a steel company, is a strait-laced person who only cares about his work. But for the first time, he is faintly tempted by his subordinate (Ashina Sei), an office lady, and starts to embark on the path to an affair. At that moment, his 23-year-old daughter Shioko (Ishihara Satomi) is renting an apartment with a man without realising that he has a wife. Furuta learns about this from the sudden arrival of a confirmation for the delivery of a double bed. Barging into the apartment, he raises a huge fuss with the man, Ishizawa Kiyotaka (Ozawa Yukiyoshi) … … However, things progress in an unexpected direction. Furuta’s wife, Kaneko (Kuroki Hitomi) hits it off with Ishizawa’s wife (Suzuki Sawa), Furuta’s cheating heart is exposed when he is seen linking arms with that office lady on the streets by Ishizawa, Shioko’s ex-boyfriend, Sakuma (Nakamura Shunsuke) barges in and hidden family secrets come undone. Furuta initially started out abhorring Ishizawa like a serpent but gradually feels an odd sense of affinity as they drink together. Before long, Shioko’s pregnancy is discovered.
