Synopsis: One night, the sleuth Samonji Susumu (Mizutani Yutaka) and his assistant, Aso Fumiko (Toda Keiko), happen to meet Shinjo Hiroyuki (Tanaka Minoru), who had been her boyfriend during her university days. They learn that Shinjo is the president of a sake brewery in Nagasaki and is here in Tokyo on a business trip. Shinjo passes Fumiko a complimentary accommodation coupon for one of the local hotels and promises to meet her again in Nagasaki. That weekend, Shinjo has a quarrel with his wife, Kayoko (Fueki Yoko) at Shonomaru Sake Brewery which he runs. Kayoko, who is the daughter of the previous generation of owners, insists that they continue this sound business, but Shinjo intends to sell this land and expand the business on a large scale with the money. It is their usual quarrel. Then he drinks the tea that Kayoko had ordered and collapses without moving in the next instant. Right after that, an employee called Amemiya Sanae (Takahashi Kaori) turns up at Kayoko’s place. Unable to tolerate his tyranny, the two of them had planned his murder. They bury his dead body in the back yard where used sake casks are left and lie that Shinjo has gone on a business trip to Hokkaido. The next day, Fumiko, who has taken leave, waits for Shinjo at Nagasaki’s Glover Garden, but he naturally does not come. Sensing something amiss, she calls Samonji to Nagasaki. Samonji visits Shonomaru Sake Brewery disguised as Shinjo’s university schoolmate and tries to stir things up by expressing his desire to get in touch with Shinjo. He analyses from Kayoko’s expression that she is telling a lie and proceeds to unlock the mystery of the case … …

Keishichou Saihanboushika Masaki Hidetsugu ~ Aru Shonen to no Itsukakan no Kikenna Yakusoku

Synopsis: Tobe Shota (Daito Shunsuke), a rookie detective, is assigned to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s Repeat Offenses Prevention Division where the famous detective Masaki Hidetsugu (Tanihara Shosuke) belongs. Because Masaki is an eccentric who has caused the emotional breakdown of six subordinates this year, Tobe begrudgingly gets paired with him. Their first task is a consultation with Yokoyama Kazuo, a restaurant owner whom Masaki is friends with. A portion of his restaurant’s taking have been stolen by someone, and says that the culprit maybe Honjo Takumi who works part-time in his kitchen. Five years ago, Takumi had made a bomb and plotted a deadly attack. He was arrested while he was moments away from activating the bomb and has been working at Yokoyama’s restaurant after serving his sentence in a juvenile prison. Hearing that Yokoyama was familiar with Takumi’s situation at that time, Masaki decides to start from this angle. Masaki meets Takumi’s parents (Yamazaki Hajime and Yamashita Yorie) to ask what their son has been doing lately, but they reply that Takumi has completely reformed and there were no signs to foreshadow the incident. Late at night on that day, a bomb had exploded at a boutique in Toko. The crime lab’s results show that the bomb is similar to the one that Takumi had made five years ago. Furthermore, Takumi had been filmed by the boutique’s security camera. Having received detective Mizumoto Mari’s (Ishida Yuriko) report, Masaki and Tobe begin to investigate the people arround Takumi Before long, another bomb goes off at a different location and Takumi was sighted at the scene. Is he the real criminal?
