Cast: Mikami Hiroshi, Kato Takako, Mashima Hidekazu, Tsugawa Masahiko
Synopsis: During the Cold War of the 1960s, Okinawa assumed the role as the “base” of the nuclear arms cache for America, which was engaged in a nuclear development with the former Soviet Union. Okinawa was returned to Japan in May 1972 after being made American territory for many years. At that time, Japan’s Prime Minister Sato Eisaku (Tsugawa Masahiko), was praised worldwide and awarded the Noble Peace Prize in 1974 for advocating the “Three Non-Nuclear Principles”. However, the biggest factor behind the return of Okinawa, was a secret pact made between Prime Minister Sato and then US President Richard Nixon to permit nuclear weapons to be brought to Okinawa again in times of emergency. Wakaizumi Kei (Mikami Hiroshi), a scholar of international politics, was the secret envoy who scrambled to make the return a reality.

Synopsis: After 2 years doing part-time jobs, 27-year-old Katsuragi Asako (Nagasawa Masami) gets a job with the editorial production house of a small magazine through the influence of her father. She is put in charge of the culinary pages of a PR magazine and enjoys her work. However, she is suddenly informed by her CEO Okamura Minoru (Kondo Yoshimasa) that the production house has gone bankrupt. Her acquaintance, Yamamoto Ryoko (Akino Yoko) encourages her to start doing something new and try living alone. Otherwise, she cannot become a real adult. So against the opposition of her family, Asako begins living in an apartment on a rooftop. Some time later, Asako is introduced to a new company by Okamura. It is an advertising agency which also does editorial work for a web magazine and has only three employees. Editing a web magazine neither pays well nor wins recognition. It is hardly an interesting job but accepts without much expectations and carefully handles her work. She tries to positively live through this major turning point in her life: unemployment before the age of 30, a change in occupation and independence. She also finds herself wavering between two completely different, older men: Kudo Shuntaro (Yoshida Eisaku), the company president of the advertising agency, and Tanaka Koji (Kato Haruhiko), an elite employee who works at a foreign corporation.
