hi, hi, just want to point out that Mukai’s role is Hidetada, NOT Hidetsugu.
Thank you for all of the detailed synopis of each season’s drama lineup!^v^
I was sure I got the name right … but I must have been dreaming =) That’s for dropping in this comment.
I’m not sure I will carry on with this blog for much longer as the seasons have been rather disappointing lately. In the near term, I might be more selective on the translated synopsis done for upcoming dramas.
There IS another character named Hidetsugu in GOU, maybe you got them mixed up^^
Aw.. that would be too bad… I always check out your blog for every season’s drama lineup, they’re very useful for me to decide which drama I want to watch each season. Not even Japanese WIKI have that kind of list, while Wiki D-addicts doesn’t have the infos as comprehensive as you have. You compiled them all very well and accurate. Really thank you!
But I have to agree recent Jdramas are getting disappointing… lately, I ended up dropping one by one those I was interested in, on Ep1. And only watch 1 drama till the end.
The problem for me is the stories… seem like the Japanese scriptwriters are running out of ideas.
That’s nice to hear. Thank you for your support. I think the best place for information about a drama is still its official site beside entertainment magazines.
For me, jdramas are frustrating not just for the poor storyline but also the increasingly bewildering casting choices and over reliance on adaptations as well as sequels. That said, there are the occasional gems that come out from WOWOW, and surprisingly NHK that keep me hanging in there.
Hi, I’ve written about these upcoming dramas, and I’ve referenced and linked to this page. I hope you don’t mind.
Awesome!Miura Haruma looks hott!
Can’t wait to watching!!!!
=) 🙂
Thanks for this, it’s very helpful and interesting.
I gotta say though… it all sounds either very “WTF” or plain horrible. What are they thinking?? And does no one have any original ideas anymore? Half the shows sound like copies of other shows mixed together.
I might end up not watching anything next season. I can only hope there’ll be some fun midnight dramas at least.
But again, thank you, it’s very nice to find all this information so nicely sorted and comprehensive.
I always come to your blog to see what are the upcoming J-drama. Thank you so much for the detailed info of each upcoming J-drama.
Looking forward to Gaikoukan Kuroda Kousaku~ Although Shibasaki’s character sounds similar to her character in Galileo.
Thanks for writing up this blog. I’m a jdrama fan and have been watching all season dramas for near 4 years now. I watched every drama that was subbed. There were some good and bad ones. Your blog has very detailed synopsis on each drama, and even more drama details than those on dramawiki. Only thing lacking is pictures and cast relationships chart.
Recently, there seems to be lots of police dramas going on, but they are boring me. Late night dramas seem to have good storylines, such as Yamikin Ushijima-kun, Kurohyo. But they are not widely popular.
Personally, I would enjoy watching a drama with great theme songs too. in the last season, Iryu 3, Q10 and Freeter attracts my attention. Nagareboshi is not bad too. I would find SPEC interesting and looking forward to a sequel series or movie soon. Freeter has a nice cast and storyline.
Ryoma Den is a lil disappointing in the first few episodes. Didn’t expect how things will turn out to be. But as the story goes along, I find myself tuning to every episode.
I’m looking forward to a few jdramas this season from the casting. LADY is one. Keiko Kitagawa 🙂
