Sundays, 10.00 – 11.00 p.m. from 17 October 2010

The murder of Hatakeyama Hiroshi, a former gangster, has occurred in a quiet residential neighborhood. Assistant Inspector Goda Yuichiro of the First Investigative Division’s Seventh Section, who is put in charge of the case, tracks down Hatakeyama’s movements while alive, but cannot get hold of clues. Before long, the murder of Matsui Koji, a bureaucrat from the Ministry of Justice, takes place. The wound is very similar to that of the Hatakeyama case and it seems to be growing into a series of killings. However, the police top brass give baffling orders “not to conduct a joint investigation”. Goda asks Tokyo District public prosecutor Kano Yusuke, who had been in the same year at university and is also the older brother of his ex-wife Kiyoko, about the situation. But he is rejected and told to “obey orders from above” and the investigation becomes extremely difficult. Meanwhile, Mizusawa Hiroyuki, a mysterious youth who was released from a medical facility, has been staying with his lover, Takagi Machiko, a nurse. However, the shadow of the words “dark mountains” which he divulges now and then, gives the impression of something secret. Negoro Asami, a journalist with Shukan Choryu has been covering the bribery charges of Saeki Shoichi, the president of a construction company, but she is ordered by her editor, Takizawa Kanji, to pursue Hatakeyama’s murder case. The lawyer in charge of the trial of Hatakeyama’s previous offense, Rinbara Yuzo, is also among the potential suspects that emerged in the investigation which has come to a standstill … “Organisational pressure” has been cleverly instituted. The detectives continue to pursue their “invisible enemy”, gambling on their pride and ego. Who is Marks?

Seeing your constant updates on Marks no Yama makes me more and more excited to see how this drama will be. Yes, in spite of the presence of Konishi Manami. Ugh! She’s not good at all.

Hopefully, if the RAWs are available on DA AND it’s intriguing, we can seriously consider subbing this. 🙂

Keep up the good work with your updates!
    Everyone appreciates them, I’m sure.

Thanks partner! I certainly have hope WOWOW hits the right notes with Marks no Yama. I’ve lived through almost two seasons without a decent drama to sustain me … Unfortunately summer doesn’t often bring delightful treats like Gonzo. I don’t think WOWOW can do worse than the worst. Even their mediocre is so much better than what the other networks have subjected us to for the past seasons and will again for the upcoming season … I can already think of so many of the fall dramas that would be better off not made.
