  1. luthien says:

Saka no Ue no Kumo Part 2 will be aired in 2011?
Historical drama led by heavy-weight names. I absolutely adore Kagawa Teruyuki since I saw him play Hideyoshi in Toshie to Matsu. Recently I watched him in Mr. Brain.. very little parts, but he’s funny.. i think it’s his face, but he makes good use out of it. I think he can do very well in this drama. To be working along side Abe and Motoki…. the names alone are getting me excited (again).

Thanks for the updates.. I’m so far behind since my current fandom are keeping me preoccupied. Fall season looks so much more promising! Hope better dramas will keep popping up.

  2. luthien says:

I’m getting so nervous this won’t be the year Inoue Mao and Shida Mirai makes a small-screen comeback!

I didn’t finish The Queen of the Classroom, it was too brutal… but since it’s Amami Yuki, I may go back.. But seriously, this kid is amazing.. whether it’s a silly drama or a heavy drama, I think she can do it well. I remember her little parts in Dream, god.. she touches with her acting without going overboard.. i mean, she was moving, and it was Dream you know? Yes yes there was Sorimachi Takashi, but Kato Ai? and that weird story with the weird ending? But I so love this kid and I’m dying to see her act. Is it because she’s not the “perfect” pretty like most actress? There’s too many of them in the industry! But how many can act???

    • luthien says:

Oh I forgot.. 14-sai no Haha.. I love the casting in that drama. Very controversial topic. But when Namase Katsuhisa broke down at the news, I bawled like a baby.. Thought the dude can only act in comedy, he deserve so much praises for his performance in that drama. I honestly thought this was the drama that proved Shida can act.. I was so convinced she was going to get great projects. But after that, it was just minor roles, except for that silly drama with Yamada Yu… She should get braces and hope she blossoms into a gorgeous lady soon. The kid has potential, would hate to see it wasted..

  3. luthien says:

Thank you for more updates!!! I feel like a newbie to jdramas.. but is there always more than two or three detective/investigation dramas in one season? There’s zero romance.. I may be tempted to get my fix over at the k-ent section.

Jin sound interesting.. weird but interesting. This is coming from someone who enjoyed Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi. Definitely looking at Fumou Chitai and Saka no Ue no Kumo. Btw, is Ishihara Satomi playing as Motoki’s wife? The cast of Gaiji Keisatsu looks okay… the synopsis is just not tempting enough. The Little Princess Sara, I’m like nearly two decades too old for this, but it’s Shida. Maybe My Girl…?

  4. Wendy says:

I’m desperately waiting for news of an Inoue Mao drama too! *crosses fingers* (And hopefully with a good supporting cast to go with her casting!)

  5. christine says:

    ..thanks for the latest updates…

  6. kazuya_ says:

    Inpei Shirei sounds interesting!

  7. ennie says:

Ah, I love detective dramas, but I also feel like this is a little much. I agree with luthien, so far Shida Mirai can do no wrong. I’ll be looking forward to the exotic shots and interesting story of Shoukojo Sara.

I feel that Untouchable is going to try to be like Unfair, just by name alone..ahhh I shouldn’t judge so quickly.

  8. lace wigs says:

otomen is my pick from all of these.

  9. Misato-san says:

you forgot ROMES in this list it was annouced a while ago ^^

    • jadefrost says:

I didn’t forget. I chose not to put it in as I don’t intend to do introductions for every drama in the season.

  10. luthien says:

wow… Mukai Osamu in two dramas this season.

So the rumor about Inoue Mao returning was just plain rumor? Or were they referring to the SP?

  11. nolpol says:

first one sounds the most interesting! I like some kind of detectives! Maybe you have seen something interesting like this one, advice me, plese!

  12. thank you says:

I really appreciate your blog and all the upcoming drama news. Thank you. Hope you can continue with this blog.

  13. jk says:
