Synopsis: Kitagawa Utamaro (Mizutani Yutaka) is a popular Japanese woodblock print artist. His wife, Oriyo (Suzuki Anju) is murdered by someone and the constable Senba Ichinoshin (Nakamura Hashinosuke) of the Minami Magistrate’s Office begins to investigate her death but why does Utamaro submit a notification that says she had died of illness? Senba is also ordered by his superiors to stop his investigation but continues to secretly pursue the case. After that, a series of mysterious cases occur. Who is Oriyo’s murderer? … What is the true intention of Utamaro?
