Story
An unnamed detective has his base in an old multi-tenant building with strip clubs at a corner of one of the streets along the Chuo train line. He is a troubleshooter who through the beautiful lawyer Saejima Kyoko receives jobs from a succession of beautiful women for the sake of money. However, these are not jobs that can make him money, and his default on his rental increases. Each time he sees the landlady Aragaki Mayumi, she presses him for payment. The detective uses various methods and at times the assistance of people he has helped to solve the cases. One day, Kyoko visits him with a job. The client is Misaki Eiko, a temporary staff at a bank. In recent days, she has been shadowed by a strange man and this terrifies her. Baited by the large reward, the detective immediately guard her and keeps close tabs on her surroundings as he tries to identify the stalker. However, the stalker goes into a rage when he sees the detective with Eiko and his behaviour grows more extreme. On the other hand, the detective also starts to run a background check on Eiko. But at that moment, the detective is attacked by the stalker. Furthermore, Eiko is suddenly arrested as a suspect in a murder case. However, she denies the crime. Believing her words, the detective works with Mayumi to clear her of the false accusation but … …

Takahashi Katsunori as Detective
A man whose identity and age is unknown. Although he says that he is an investigator, he is not an occupational investigator, but a troubleshooter who undertakes various jobs through a go-between for the sake of money. However, the requests he accepts are typically only from females. He has set up a home office at a multi-tenant building with strip clubs; usually does odd jobs at a strip club and ekes out a living by solving trivial cases. He hates being tied down more than anything, and leads a life free of mobile phones, emails and the internet. He loves bourbon and jazz. While he is not the type who is hard up for women, his policy is not to sleep with the same woman twice. However, he is extremely kind to females and because of that, he frequently gets into unnecessary trouble … …

Katase Nana as Saejima Kyoko
A shrewd hotshot lawyer who is single. She introduces clients who have cases that the police and herself are powerless to handle, to the detective. She is informed about the underworld, and at times supports the detective. A sexy, stylish beauty. She is extremely businesslike about money, loves high-end clothes, wine and accessories. Maybe it is because of that the she thinks that the district that the detective lives in is a different world from hers.

Tayama Ryosei as Anan Koichi
A veteran cop. He is always involved in the cases that the detective investigates and constantly makes sarcastic remarks. He bought a small house in the same neighbourhood as the detective and lives with his wife and daughter. Because he seems to be struggling with his home loan and cost of his daughter’s education, each time he meets the detective he keeps asking if it is pays well to be a freelancer. Like Saejima Kyoko, he is one the few people that know the detective’s past.

Miura Rieko as Aragaki Mayumi
A moneylender in the neighbourhood where the detective lives and the landlady of the multi-tenant building where he has set up his office and home. She gets entangle with the detective to collect defaulted rent. “Pay with your body if you can’t return the money.” She is the woman that he least wants to meet … … but because of the delicious proposition and her sensuality, he keeps getting twisted around by her.
