Synopsis: 250,000 couples divorce each year in an era where a couple divorces every 2 minutes. Family Complex is a company that rents temporary families to the ever-increasing numbers of single fathers and mothers. Its president, Yamamuro Shuji (Tamaki Hiroshi), is called the hero of his times. Kobashi Beniko (Tanaka Rena), who interviews at the company, is immediately hired on probation and entrusted with a job. It is to impersonate the family, relatives, colleagues and friends of the bride at a wedding ceremony and to attend the reception banquet. Beniko takes exception to the contributions to society at the company information session. “In that case, you have no choice but to resign”, Sawa Kaori (Fukuishi Kazue), the general affairs supervisor, coolly responds. Kaori runs the company as Yamamuro’s right hand. Yamamuro says it is a company that helps people rebuild families, but Beniko is not convinced. Then, a job comes along. Tosaki Ryunosuke (Takenaka Naoto) who has been told that he has six months left to live, wishes to create his own “ending note”. In the movie “Ending Note”, a father found to have cancer, and his daughter films him on video. Tosaki wishes to rent a wife and daughter to create the same thing. Tosaki has a wife and daughter, but the women are contemptuous of him. Yamamuro picks Ono Megumi (Yamaguchi Izumi) a veteran employee for the role of the wife, and Beniko for the role of the daughter. Beniko naturally worries about whether she can do it. Even though she is in Tosaki’s house, she can neither completely become his daughter nor ad lib. This turns Tosaki off. But each time she goes to the house, she gets emotionally involved, and is able to naturally behave like his daughter. As Yamamuro praises Beniko’s work, Tosaki is given only a month to live by the doctor. Unable to bear it, Beniko makes an appeal to Yamamuro, “I think we should be a real family,” but … …
