Story
Uehara Choko, a police officer with Sakurada Police Precinct’s Community Safety Division, lives happily with her husband, Kohei, daughter Aoi, and son Tonbo. Choko is a cheerful, outstanding policewoman, but gets told off by Mifune Yoshiaki, the head of the division, because she always takes matters to extremes. One day, while on patrol, Choko rushes to the scene of a fire. She saves children trapped at the scene of a fire but loses her own life in the process. Three months after Choko’s death, Kohei and the family have yet to pull themselves together. One day, Tonbo, who misses his mother, puts on Choko’s spectacles which he was given as a keep-sake, and sees Choko appear in front of him! “Mum seems to have become a ghost …” Worried about her son, Choko has remained in this world as a ghost. Tonbo delights in the fact that only he is able to see his mother when he puts on her spectacles. He announces to his father and sister that Choko has become a ghost. However, both of them cannot see her and do not believe him. Choko makes Tonbo promise to keep his ability to see her as a secret. This is thus the start of the mysterious lives of Choko the ghost and her timid son, Tonbo. Then Choko learns that the fire she died in was a case of arson and attempts to capture the criminal, but … …
