Story
A man arrives at the household of the large family-run conglomerate, the Hosho Group. The man is called Kageyama. He is the successor of the butler, Karasawa, who had served the family’s only daughter, Reiko, for many years. At that moment, Reiko is at a crime scene. She has been working as a detective at Kokuritsu Police Precinct by concealing her identity. On the other hand, Reiko’s superior, Inspector Kazamatsuri Kyoichiro, is a showy person who arrives at scenes in his luxury car(s). Unlike Reiko, he does not hide the fact that he is the son of the millionaire owner of Kazamatsuri Motors and flaunts his wealth. Naturally, Kazamatsuri does not know Reiko’s true identity. The victim, Yoshimoto Hitomi, is a temporary employee. She appears to have to have been strangled in the room of her cooperative housing. However, Reiko feels something is wrong about the victim who had died with her shoes on in her apartment. Kazamatsuri has a head start on Reiko by expressing the same questions. He even talks on and on about the suspect’s profile, but his deduction is a poorly-drawn one that even an elementary school kid can say. When Reiko presents a differing view, he immediately jumps on and improvises as if it was something he had thought of. There is nothing that she can do about the shamelessly annoying Kazamatsuri. After the investigation, Reiko, who has parted with Kazamatsuri, kicks a stone in irritation. It hits an expensive limousine. The man who alights answers Reiko’s questions about the cost of repair with an estimated price. However, that man bows to Reiko. He is her butler, Kageyama, and has come to pick her up … …

Kitagawa Keiko as Hosho Reiko
A rookie, non-career detective. Becoming a detective was a long cherished dream and she has been assigned to Kokuritsu Police Precinct, but her identity is that of the only daughter of the leader of world famous Hosho Group, Hosho Seitaro. Because she is a well-off girl, she does not have a dim view of others, and is poor at reading the perverse minds of criminals. After she learns that Kageyama has unmatched powers of deduction, she tells him the outlines of casases to let him solve the riddles.
Sakurai Sho as Kageyama
The Hosho family’s butler and chauffeur. A sober and honest type of professional, he is modest, methodical, polite, and does not betray any feelings. At a glance, he has an intelligent and impeccable image, but is in fact a person with an outrageously sharp tongue. He uses polite speech as he pulls no punches and lets loose streams of inappropriately abusive language for a butler that it incurs Reiko’s anger. Adept at reasoning, he solves cases that Reiko brings back just by listening to the stories.
Shiina Kippei as Kazamatsuri Kyoichiro
The head of the Serious Crimes Unit at Kokuritsu Police Precinct’s Criminal Affairs Division. A bachelor and quasi career detective who is Hosho Reiko’s superior. He was promoted to be an inspector at a young age, and shows off that he is the son of the millionaire owner of the mid-sized Kazamatsuri Motors.
