The $500 figure written by Keigo in his letter to Ube, is rewritten as $50,000. Presuming that the money is for the court case, an unsuspecting Ube passes this amount to the lawyer, Lean. But Lean turns out to be a bogus lawyer in cahoots with Pon. Ari tells Keigo to pay another $50,000 for his freedom.

Keigo is driven to the depths of despair when he learns that everything that Pon had done for him had been for the purpose of robbing him of a large sum of money. He feels a chill that Pon has been set free.

Aki says that they should find Pon … A pessimistic Ube feels that it’ll be futile. However, even though the embassy says that there was no fault on its part, Ube finds himself swayed now that he knows what sort of person Keigo is. Half-threatened by Aki, Ube gets into action. He confronts Big Boss and demands Keigo’s release. In retaliation, Big Boss orders Ari to frame Ube for drug possession and imprisons him without trial to teach him the laws of the country.

Aki relentlessly searches for Pon but when she finds him, he is unrepentant and unmoved …
